Is the new Sikh Temple too big?

The Courier has received this letter:
I have lived in Warwick all my life and many changes have taken place in the area - such as the rabbit hutch-style housing that families have to live in. The newest change to catch my attention is the Sikh temple being built on Tachbrook Park. I cannot believe such an eyesore could be built - it is far taller than any other building in the area and will detract from the appearance of the whole area. - Name and address supplied.
What do you think of the size of the Sikh temple? Add your comment to our Blog.

Who needs a new shopping arcade?
Developers want to build a new shopping centre - called the Clarendon Arcade - on what is currently Chandos Street car park, Leamington. It will be bigger than the Royal Priors. But a new study of shops in Leamington, taking into account the recession, could put the plan in doubt. Do you think the new arcade should still be built? We welcome your comments.

No warning for speed cameras
New speed cameras put up on Warwickshire roads may not have warning signs in the future. MP James Plaskitt has criticised the plan, saying it would be a 'cash cow' for the county council. Courier columnist Andy Thomas, an approved driving instructor, thinks it is a great idea. What is your reaction? Please post a comment.
The out-of-hours GP service
You feel ill. It is during the evening or at the weekend. At the moment, you can see a GP at the out-of-hours service at Warwick Hospital. Soon that will not be possible. A new firm has won the contract to supply the service - but it will not be at Warwick Hospital. The new location has yet to be named. What do you think about this? Your comments are welcome.

Should fireworks be banned?
Horses are terrified, deer are fleeing, chickens are so upset they’ve stopped laying eggs - and, according to a farmer, it’s all because of fireworks. Richard Cook, who farms near Warwick, contacted the Courier this week after noisy displays at a nearby venue popular with wedding parties left his animals shaken and wildlife distressed. Mr Cook tells his moving story in this week's Courier.
Do you think it is time for organised firework displays to be banned? Should they only be held on firework night? Your comments are welcome.

Are school places shared out fairly?
This week's Courier front page story is about a mother from Whitnash whose children have been refused a place at their local school. Kirsten Farr has been told her four-year-old son will have to go to school in north Warwick - rather than Whitnash. Her eldest son attended Briar Hill Infant School and St Margaret's Junior School. What do you think about the county council's decision? Have you experienced anything similar? Comments welcome.

How would you improve Warwick?

Political leaders are calling on Warwick residents to come up with ideas about how to improve the town. Councillors Alan Farnell, Gerry Guest and Michael Doody - the leaders at the county, town and district councils respectfully - are working together to plan new developments in the town. And they want to hear from Courier readers, many of whom have expressed strong views about the town. Coun Michael Doody (Con, Radford Semele) is keen to find out how residents want the area to look in 20 years time.

Should Dr Boardman be re-instated?

She was alleged to have transferred more than 80 patients' details to a company of which she was a director. Last week, the Trust upheld its decision to sack her following an appeal hearing. Was the Trust right to uphold this decision, or should she be re-instated? Your comments are welcome.
